History

Built in 1928 this dead and breakfast has predominately served as a single family residence until 2020 when Eric Rooney and Christopher Weiland bought the property. Working in end of life care specifically with terminally ill folx in the community, Eric opened portions of the home to house folx needing a safe space to die.

Through story telling and personal experiences, Eric was guided to more formally begin offering housing. With this, he and his partner designated a separate portion of their home to fully offer families and loved ones a space to gather and grieve.

With a separate driveway, entrance, its own kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, Colorado’s first dead and breakfast was born. We can facilitate at home funerals, estate planning, transportation to a from your designated mortuary, grief support for friends and family, and a range of mental/physical healing techniques should you and/or your loved one choose.
